  • Location: Durban & Berea, Umhlanga, Westville, Pinetown, Chatsworth, Amanzimtoti, Pietermaritzburg, Ballito & North Coast, Richards Bay & Empangeni, Newcastle, Ladysmith, Port Shepstone & South Coast and other locations in KwaZulu-Natal

KZN Theatre Nurse Roles Available  

  • Anaesthetic nurse: induction, airway assistance, monitoring and drug checks alongside the anaesthetist 

  • CSSD / sterile services: decontamination, packing, autoclave and tray assembly 

  • Day surgery, endoscopy & cath lab: shorter lists, predictable hours, often a better fit around family commitments 

  • Floor / circulating nurse: keeps the theatre running: counts, stock, positioning, specimens and runner work 

  • Recovery / PACU nurse: post-anaesthetic care, observations, pain management and safe handover to the ward 

  • Scrub nurse: instrument and sterile field work across general, ortho, cardiothoracic, neuro, gynae, urology, ENT, ophthalmic, maxillofacial, plastics and robotic lists 

  • Theatre unit managers & shift leaders: list coordination, staffing and stock control for units short on senior cover
