Theatre Nurse Referral Programme
Refer a Theatre Nurse. Earn Up to R1 000.
Healthcare facilities in every province need skilled theatre nurses right now - often for last-minute shifts. You get to help a friend access flexible, well-paid theatre work, facilities get the critical support they need, and you earn up to R1 000 paid straight through payroll once they complete 160 approved hours through Ambition24hours.
How Much You Earn
R1,000 - Registered Nurse (RN)
R800 - Enrolled Nurse (EN)
R600 - Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary (ENA)
How Payouts Work: Paid gross, through payroll, once your referral has registered, cleared compliance and worked 160 approved theatre hours with us. No limit on how many nurses you refer.

You get paid - gross, through payroll, in the second payroll run after confirmation
Common Questions
-
It's paid gross through payroll - standard tax deductions apply.
-
In the second payroll run after we've confirmed your referral has worked the 160 hours.
-
Yes - there's no cap. Refer as many as you like.
-
Only the first valid, complete referral we receive is paid - so don't wait, send it as soon as you have their consent.
-
They just need to be right for one of the six theatre roles - scrub, floor, anaesthetic, recovery, CSSD, or unit manager/shift leader. It doesn't matter what they're doing currently, as long as their SANC category and scope of practice fit the role they'd be placed in.
-
They need to be genuinely new to us - not currently on our database, not an applicant in the last 12 months, and not already in our pipeline. Our records decide this, so if you're not sure, send the referral anyway and we'll tell you.
-
No - referrals sourced from a facility's rosters, records or systems don't qualify. This has to be a personal referral, not one pulled from client information.
-
Yes, unless you ask us not to say in your referral email. We'll respect that request where we can.
-
We acknowledge every valid referral within 2 working days and send you a reference number. If you don't get one, assume it didn't reach us and send it again.
-
We'll tell you why. The most common reasons are that the nurse was already on our database, or the role isn't one of the six theatre roles above.
-
The reward only pays out once the 160 approved theatre hours are worked within 6 months of their first shift. If they don't reach that, the referral doesn't qualify for payment.
-
No. This programme is theatre only. ICU, wards, midwifery and every other speciality sit outside it.
-
Until 28 February 2027. Get your referral in before then.
