We are dedicated to providing top-tier healthcare services, and we are currently seeking committed Clinical Pharmacists to help lead, manage, and coordinate clinical pharmacy services in hospitals. Responsibilities

  • Conduct Ward Rounds: Perform comprehensive medication reviews for patients, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes through ongoing monitoring of medication responses. 

  • Medication Safety: Ensure timely identification and resolution of medication-related challenges. 

  • Antimicrobial Stewardship: Elevate antimicrobial stewardship performance and contribute to appropriate use of antibiotics. Analyse data and optimize drug utilization. 

  • Collaboration: Work closely with doctors, microbiologists, nursing staff, and other key stakeholders to provide evidence-based drug information and improve pharmaceutical practices. 

  • Providing Guidance and Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to staff on optimal medication use and relevant policies.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor of Pharmacy and a Postgraduate Qualification in Clinical Pharmacy. 

  • Registration: Active registration with the South African Pharmacy Council. 

  • Experience: 5+ years as a pharmacist (post-internship), with at least 2 years in a clinical pharmacy, including experience in antibiotic stewardship, pharmacovigilance, and rational medicine use. 

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and familiarity with SAP is beneficial.
